Thiiiis Guy!

I was unsure of what to do after one of the last comments that I had to moderate on my site.  After sleeping on it, I decided that I will respond to the 1 comment in depth to allow for people to understand what it is exactly what I’m trying to do.

Before I get into details, I want to validate that I don’t completely disagree with Cookie Stuffing.  I do see a valid reason to do it, but based on my experience it is done in a fashion where it’s deceiving.  It’s only legitimate use makes your marketing extremely aggressive, and there’s a fine line you cross by utilizing forced clicks.

Overall though, Cookie Stuffing is a problem.  Networks disagree with it and it can be very misleading.  If I were asked if one should do it, I would encourage someone NOT to use Cookie Stuffing.  There are plenty of creative ways to get your traffic to convert without forcing your cookies for commissions that your affiliate network will accept.

Here is the comment in it’s original form:

you poor fuck…….i was legit affiliate and i earned fuckin peanuts-thanks to scums like you, now when i’m in the game – simply cause everyone and their dog is cookie stuffing – (google for example-so they can serve “better ads”(wtf?????)and have better conversions based on tracking user behavior) you want to screw me and million others again?

What? You found better cookie stuffing method and you want to distract aff.m. to look on the other side or you got cookie stuffed with some “soul and sympathy”?

I suggest you to stick with cookie jar or to search job at some aff. firm as a snitch – pretending to be -whatever you pretend…….there are no legit affiliates-remember this.

Everyone is involved in SE spam,or e-mail spam, or cookies -and you want to make difference, advertising and money is keeping net alive and full of junk- but this is why people love it!

It’s pretty colorful, right?  I’m going to debate this comment in sections.

you poor fuck…….
According to the internet gossip that’s out there, I’m rich and loaded with cash.  Insulting me isn’t going to make me respond any different though and certainly isn’t going to change the direction I’m going with my career.

i was legit affiliate and i earned fuckin peanuts-
If there was any advice I could give to you could be summed up by one phrase: diversify yourself.  Based on this comment, and others you make further in this statement, you strike me as someone that is not all that creative.  I could be wrong though.

From my own personal experience and working with powerful affiliates, you have to be willing to adapt and change with the market.  If you get hung up on 1 thing, you will be passed up by the affiliates that are diverse and creative.

The other thing I’ve seen power affiliates do is they go for it with the “all or nothing” attitude.  I have no idea what kind of “legit” marketing you did, but there are plenty of “legit” ways to make money.  You won’t reap the benefits over night though.  Anything that comes to fast is not likely to last long term.

thanks to scums like you, now when i’m in the game –simply cause everyone and their dog is cookie stuffing – (google for example-so they can serve “better ads”(wtf?????)and have better conversions based on tracking user behavior)
Apparently english is not your primary language.  I have no idea what you’re trying to implicate here.  Are you saying that I made it too simple for people to cookie stuff?  Are you saying that I am ruining it for people that want to Cookie Stuff?

you want to screw me and million others again?
I don’t want to screw anyone.  I want to stop vendors from being screwed from people that illegitimately Cookie Stuff, break laws, or violate Terms of Service.  Almost all of the affiliate networks that I’ve been apart of outline it very clear they do not allow “Forced clicks.”

What? You found better cookie stuffing method and you want to distract aff.m. to look on the other side or you got cookie stuffed with some “soul and sympathy”?
Again, I have no clue what exactly you’re talking about here.  I can assure you that my new direction is not much different than what it was before I built SauceKit.  I’m a developer and my intent is always to help make things easier for people.  Instead of using my talent for evil, I’d rather use it for good.

I take full responsibility for my actions.  I don’t expect any sympathy from anybody for my current situation.  In the end, it will all work out and I’ll one way or another be successful at what I pour my “heart and soul” into.  This is nothing more than a hiccup in my life.

I suggest you to stick with cookie jar or to search job at some aff. firm as a snitch – pretending to be -whatever you pretend…….
Thank you for the suggestion.  Remember though, I’m a developer.  The software I’m creating will classify affiliates with a Risk score based on a number of variables.  Most of what I’ve talked about so far has been only about Cookie Stuffing, but there will be more to come.

there are no legit affiliates-remember this.
This depends on what you consider “legit.”  I’ve worked with guys that make money with Social Networks, PPC, PPV, SEO, and Email.  All of them have had their ways of getting their traffic to convert.  Of course they consider the worst of the worse before they go about their game plan, but in the end they remain legit and do the right thing.

Everyone is involved in SE spam,or e-mail spam, or cookies -and you want to make difference, advertising and money is keeping net alive and full of junk- but this is why people love it!
Somehow it strikes me that you’ve managed to allow your anger to cloud your logical interpretation of who I am and what I do.  I understand the internet and have been building web applications for over a decade now.  I’m familiar with a lot of the dirty ways people make money online, but I also have provided various technology platforms to legit business owners.

There is a lot of dirt on the internet, but there are also a lot of clean resources.  In almost every project that I’ve taken part of, they’re recognized as being innovative and a “clean business model.”  SauceKit was a fluke.

My choices are completely based on the fact that I’m fully capable of combatting fraud.  Yes, if the Secret Service didn’t knock on my door and sieze SauceKit, I wouldn’t be on this new path.  But it happened, and it has inspired me to do something right.

In all honesty, there are a lot of guys out there that are 100% blackhat.  If some of them invest as much time as they do cheating in something legitimate, they’d probably find themselves to be really successful at something legal.  There are different strokes for different folks though.

  1. Hi,

I see that you simply exploited the system and advertised your exploits to every tom dick and harry. I’m not just playing with words here but Have you never heard of “what goes around comes around”.

The one thing that I don’t fully understand is if your exploits where so lucrative then why not keep them in house instead of sharing them with everyone? I Know your a smart guy but with a clear mind tell me what on earth did you expect to happen with such a shady business, was it simply Greed?

Dust yourself off, pick yourself up again and use your talents to not exploit and cheat the system that works for most people but instead focus on improving the system from future attacks.

  2. I appreciate the uplifting suggestion towards the end of your comment. There are a lot of things that were going on that sucked me into it. A lot of reasons that kept me motivated I choose not to disclose though. I will say that greed is a good start to my reasonings though.

In the near future, there will be some Risk Management software open on the market. I’ve been developing it on and off for the last month. The last 2-3 months we’ve been going back and fourth with how it should be done.

Pretty soon I’d like to release some of the methods / theories in the write ups that have been pending in my posts. I need to go through them and make sure they’re all good.

  3. Glad you’re alive BigLevel.

I understand your situation, your struggle, the right you have to move over, clean your mind and start a new life. I guess comments you are receiving are from users of your app, which in average like to parasite other people effort (most of them 16s year old kids, who believe they own the world and lack imagination).

I’ve been reading your posts. Nice stuff. Keep on writing, if you feel the comments hurt you, just disable them. You have nothing to explain to the /b/tards.

Next time chose your friends better.

  4. hey Chris,

You supplied what people wanted, better than most others were. It seems a lifetime since I was walking on the dark side, so I can relate to where you are going and am glad to see it.

The haters that place blame on you, are probably ones that use alcohol to the point that they could kill someone, while others use it responsibly. the point is it can be used to different extents, no one is screaming at the manufacturer.

    Head up, keep going
